Tough Mudder with Tyler

Tyler is a dedicated client who originally came to work with me after a work-sponsored health/fitness check-up that showed his body fat percentage to be higher than he wanted. After working with him for about a year, he achieved his goal by reducing body fat by 4-6% and increasing his overall fitness and strength. He then decided to have a new goal – do the Tough Mudder with his corporate team. The Tough Mudder is one of the most difficult obstacle/mud run events in the world. This particular race is 12.5 miles of running through woods, mud pits, hills, blackberry bushes and of course, obstacles. The obstacles are designed by a group of former British Special Forces members. Each obstacle requires both physical and mental strength and many of the obstacles are better conquered as a team.

Tyler showed up every week and gave 150% in his workouts with me. He also put in many miles of running, thousands of push-ups and pull-ups and long sessions of holding plank at home. All his hard work paid off big on September 27th as his wife, Lauren and I watched him make his way through the course. Over 4 hours of hardcore terrain, Tyler helped his teammates and came through the finish line having done every single obstacle. He was covered with mud and had a huge smile on his face. He says he wants to do it again next year and would love to have fellow ZenRock clients form a team.

Tyler’s Tough Mudder experience is a testament to how hard work can change your life and inspire you to new heights. Congratulations Tyler – Awesome Job!!

Sunday Yoga Class

Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30am at our Redmond Studio. This is an all-levels hatha yoga class taught by Connie Ellis. She will adapt and modify as needed to fit each group. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a yoga community with both beginners and seasoned practitioners.
